Job Description: Janitor

We are hiring immediately for a part-time Janitor position at SSC.

Location: New London - 901 West Washington Street, New London, WI 54961 Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time, Monday - Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirements: No experience required. Willing to train!

Pay Range: $13.00 to $14.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Keeps buildings clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, following the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
