Job summary

Challenge Unlimited is seeking a dedicated janitor/custodian to maintain our Fort McCoy premises in Wisconsin. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking restrooms, offices, and common areas, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Salary is $17.75 per hour for a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:00am–3:30pm) at Ft. McCoy, Sparta, WI. This position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on custodial work with a strong apprenticeship pathway.

Qualifications

• Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Pushing and pulling up to 30 lbs.
• Be 18 years or older.
• Pass criminal background checks and state/federal registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties at Fort McCoy.
• Clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and recycle bins and replace liners.
• Dust and clean office areas and windows.
• Maintain clean break rooms and applicable contract areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Support teamwork and training of co-workers.
• Prioritize safety, quality and customer service.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Janitor, or Custodian, to take care of our building and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

• Pay Rate: $17.75per hour
• Shift:Monday- Friday
• Full-time:8:00am - 3:30pm
• Location: Ft. McCoy, Sparta, WI

Typical Job Duties:

• Responsible for janitorial duties at Fort McCoy
• clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel areas.
• . Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and various recyclable cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary.
• Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Clean windowsills and windows. Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
• Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract
• Expected to safely operate equipment
• Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
• Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service.
