Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of floors, restrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub and vacuum floors throughout the distribution center.
• Empty trash and recycling; transport waste to disposal areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies.
• Maintain warehouse racking, conveyors and workstations cleanliness.
• Perform minor building repairs and improvements as directed.
• Assist with infrastructure upkeep and facility maintenance tasks.
• Support preventative maintenance documentation and procedures.
• Track and restock cleaning supplies and department inventory.
• Report safety hazards, facility damage or equipment malfunctions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department and DC.

Janitor

Location: Wink, Texas (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

• Performing routine cleaning and sanitation of the facility, including floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors throughout the distribution center.
• Emptying trash and recycling bins and transporting waste to disposal areas.
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including restocking supplies.
• Maintaining cleanliness of warehouse racking, conveyor areas, and workstations.
• Performing minor building repairs and improvements as directed.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of janitorial or custodial experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or industrial environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload.
• Ability to work successfully with little supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance documentation and procedures.

Work Environment

This role requires repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. The position involves lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
