Job summary

Didlake, Inc. on Wallops Island, VA, is hiring a part-time janitor to help keep offices, restrooms, and common areas clean, safe, and welcoming for our customers while supporting our mission as a disability-focused nonprofit.

The role runs 7:00am–11:00am with a pay rate of $18.80 per hour. High school diploma or GED preferred; the position offers benefits including health coverage, a 401(k) match, EAP, PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.

• Empty trash and recycle, restock supplies.
• Operate custodial equipment safely and follow policies.
• Report equipment or facility issues to supervisor.

What You Will Do

• Clean offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas .

• Follow quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Report equipment or facility issues to your supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with your team to deliver exceptional service.

Requirements

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• High school diploma/GED preferred or six (6) months of custodial or housekeeping experience.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to obtain required background clearance or facility access credentials, if required .
• Musthave a valid Real ID for access to the work site.
