Part-Time Janitor – Experienced Floor Care & Supervisor Skills Wanted (Riverhead)

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Janitor to join our team in Riverhead, NY. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic and solid experience in professional cleaning, especially in floor care and team supervision.

Responsibilities:

Strip and wax floors with professional-grade equipment

Perform carpet cleaning (including shampooing and extraction)

General janitorial duties including mopping, sweeping, trash removal, and restroom sanitation

Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment maintenance

Supervise or guide other cleaning staff when needed

Ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment at all times

Requirements:

Proven experience in floor care (strip and wax, carpet cleaning, etc.)

Prior supervisor or team lead experience in a janitorial or maintenance role

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Dependable and punctual

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods

Schedule:

Part-time position: 2.5 hours per night

Schedule: 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday (7 nights per week)

Evenings and weekends are required

Location: Riverhead, NY Compensation: Based on experience
