Job summary

Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a reliable, hardworking janitor to join our team. The role covers maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility, with emphasis on resident rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces.

The position is full-time with a 4-on/2-off schedule and a pay rate of $19.00–$20.00 per hour. Candidates should value teamwork, independence, and a compassionate approach in a healthcare setting, while following all safety and infection control

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, environmental services, or healthcare facility experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, hallways, offices, and other designated areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas and frequently used spaces.
• Maintain restrooms and ensure they remain clean, stocked, and sanitary.
• Collect and properly dispose of trash and waste according to facility procedures.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and orderly environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow all facility infection control, safety, and sanitation policies.
• Maintain professional and respectful interactions with residents and staff.
• Perform other housekeeping and environmental services duties as assigned.
