Job summary

RiverPointe Post-Acute Rehab in Carmichael, CA is seeking a dedicated janitor to keep the facility clean and safe in accordance with current guidelines and our policies. Responsibilities include following the established janitorial schedule, cleaning hallways, patient rooms, laundry areas, windows, and light fixtures, and handling unscheduled tasks as directed.

• Must have 6 months of janitorial experience working in a skilled nursing or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility cleanliness and safety per guidelines and policies.
• Follow janitorial schedule and instructions from supervisor.
• Clean and buff hallways, patient rooms, laundry/utility areas, kitchen and dining rooms as scheduled.
• Dust handrails and bumper trim pieces.
• Clean carpets, upholstery, wheelchairs, chairs, and related equipment.
• Clean windows and screens; perform outdoor pressure washing as directed.
• Replace burned out light bulbs (exit and overhead lights).
• Perform unscheduled janitorial tasks as directed.

Position Overview:

The Janitor maintains the facility in a clean and safe manner in accordance with current applicable guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor.

• Receive and follow janitorial schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established janitorial policies and procedures.
• Check privacy curtains for cleanliness and proper hanging.
• Clean and buff hallways, laundry/utility rooms, kitchen, dining/activity rooms and patient rooms as scheduled.
• Dust handrails, hallway bumper trim pieces.
• Perform routine cleaning of carpets, upholstery, wheel chairs, barrels, shower chairs, exhaust/cooling fans, etc.
• Clean windows and screens as directed.
• Outdoor pressure washing as directed.
• Replace burned out light bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc.
• Perform unscheduled janitorial tasks as directed.

Qualifications:
