The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a dedicated janitorial worker to help maintain the building, grounds, and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. Responsibilities include cleaning hallways, restrooms, and offices, handling donations, assisting with outdoor maintenance, and setting up furniture for meetings while following established schedules.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required for driving Salvation Army
Job Objective: Maintain property and grounds accordance with acceptable standards of safety, cleanliness and appearance. Properties include building, grounds and equipment serving the building.
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience: Janitorial and maintenance experience preferred but not required
Certifications/Licenses: None
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Physical Requirements: Include standing, walking, climbing, and kneeling for extended periods of time; lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.
Travel: None
Driving: Employee must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical office environment and some outdoor activities.
