Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the family services and corps buildings including offices, restrooms, classrooms, chapel, kitchen and food pantry.
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle fleet.
• Maintain cleanliness of parking lot, lawns and walkways.
• Conduct minor facility and equipment repairs.
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and maintenance equipment.
• Setup and prepare rooms for program usage.
• Transport food donations and equipment/supplies as assigned.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly safety checks.
• Assist with seasonal projects including but not limited to food drives, toy drives, Red Kettles.
• Other duties as assigned.

BASIC PURPOSE

• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle fleet
• Maintain cleanliness of parking lot, lawns and walkways

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• High school diploma
• Must possess ServSafe Food Handler certification
• Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License, and ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle
• Must be 21 years or older
• Authorize The Salvation Army to add name to the CA DMV Pull Notice Program
• Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check to include a DOJ Livescan Fingerprint check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis
• Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects
