Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services in Sparks, NV is seeking a full-time Janitor to perform general upkeep and cleaning of interior buildings and facilities, including lobby areas, restrooms and all areas assigned by contract or supervisor. The role requires attention to safety rules and proper handling of cleaning supplies.

Education level is High School or GED, with prior related experience acceptable. Shift options include day schedules with Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday rotations; salary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas.
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work area.
• Note and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Report all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

SCHEDULE SHIFT:

• Sunday-Thursday, 7:00am-3:30pm
• Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00am-3:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.
