Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking a facility cleaner to maintain a clean and orderly environment across labs, offices, and common spaces. This role supports environmental sanitation and basic upkeep throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, restocking supplies, operating cleaning equipment, and assisting with meetings and events. The position offers day shifts with opportunities to contribute to a safe, compliant workplace.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize lunch room, desks, counters, and equipment.
• Cleanrooms, warehouse areas, entrances, and other work spaces.
• Dust office areas and guard shacks.
• Clean windows and glass doors both inside and outside.
• Disinfect bathrooms and stock supplies.
• Stock gowning rooms and replenish supplies as needed.
• Assist with meetings, trainings, and events; follow required cleaning checklists.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Responsible for cleaning the facility to ensure a clean and attractive work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• 1. Cleans and sanitizes the employee lunch room, mopping floors, washing and wiping tables and chairs, and cleaning counters, walls, microwaves, the outside of vending machines and refrigerators, shelving, baseboards and other eating areas.
• 2. Cleans, sweeps, and dusts Cleanrooms, warehouse, door entrances, and other areas to ensure that work areas are clean and neat.
• 3. Dusts office areas, including guard shacks.
• 4. Cleans windows and glass doors outside and inside, in various areas of the facility.
• 5. Cleans and disinfects bathrooms and sees that all paper and personal hygiene supplies are stocked.
• 6. Cleans and stocks gowning rooms.
• 7. Stocks supplies in all areas, as needed.
• 8. Empties trash throughout the Merit facility and disposes of it properly in assigned areas.
• 9. Assists with the recycling program by collecting and disposing of products such as aluminum, paper and cardboard.
• 10. Operates cleaning equipment and uses cleaning chemicals safely and properly in performing cleaning and maintenance assignments. This may include vacuuming carpeting and hard surfaces using vacuum. Spots cleans carpets and mops floors.
• 11. Assists Facilities in the set-up of meetings, training sessions and special events.
• 12. Complete appropriate checklists of cleaning the clean rooms as required by regulations.
• 13. Performs other duties and tasks, as needed.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• * Three months of janitorial experience.
• * Education equivalent to a High School diploma.
