Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. in Richmond, Virginia seeks a dedicated janitor to clean and sanitize facilities, maintain cleanliness, and stock rooms. You will support recycling, supervise waste disposal, and assist with event setups while following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize lunch room, mop floors, clean tables and chairs, and wipe counters and surfaces.
• Cleanrooms, warehouse, doors, and other areas to keep spaces neat.
• Dust office areas, including guard shacks.
• Clean windows and glass doors inside and outside.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and stock supplies.
• Stock gowning rooms and supplies as needed.
• Stock supplies in all areas and dispose of trash.
• Assist with recycling program and proper disposal of materials.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use chemicals safely; vacuum carpets and hard floors.
• Assist Facilities with meetings, training sessions and events setup.
• Complete clean room checklists as required by regulations.
• Perform other duties as needed.

WORK SHIFT DAY SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Responsible for cleaning the facility to ensure a clean and attractive work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Cleans and sanitizes the employee lunch room, mopping floors, washing and wiping tables and chairs, and cleaning counters, walls, microwaves, the outside of vending machines and refrigerators, shelving, baseboards and other eating areas.
2. Cleans, sweeps, and dusts Cleanrooms, warehouse, door entrances, and other areas to ensure that work areas are clean and neat.
3. Dusts office areas, including guard shacks.
4. Cleans windows and glass doors outside and inside, in various areas of the facility.
5. Cleans and disinfects bathrooms and sees that all paper and personal hygiene supplies are stocked.
6. Cleans and stocks gowning rooms.
7. Stocks supplies in all areas, as needed.
8. Empties trash throughout the Merit facility and disposes of it properly in assigned areas.
9. Assists with the recycling program by collecting and disposing of products such as aluminum, paper and cardboard.
10. Operates cleaning equipment and uses cleaning chemicals safely and properly in performing cleaning and maintenance assignments. This may include vacuuming carpeting and hard surfaces using vacuum. Spots cleans carpets and mops floors.
11. Assists Facilities in the set-up of meetings, training sessions and special events.
12. Complete appropriate checklists of cleaning the clean rooms as required by regulations.
13. Performs other duties and tasks, as needed.
