Job summary

Flagship is seeking a responsible Janitor in San Jose to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of client facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment.

You will perform routine cleaning, sanitize restrooms, dispose of waste, respond to spills, and follow safety procedures. Requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and 6+ months of janitorial experience, with flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in commercial facilities or janitorial work.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Completion of significant safety training is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and disinfection.
• Sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, ensure hygienic conditions.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Respond to spills and cleaning emergencies to ensure safety.
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment safely to protect floors.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with airport security and safety regulations.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting various areas within assigned area.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygienic conditions at all times.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas.
• Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning emergencies to ensure safety.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
• Maintain and operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with airport security and safety regulations.
• Assist in special cleaning projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
