Job summary

Kaw Nation is seeking a Janitor for its Ponca City, OK site. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to keep two buildings clean and orderly. Applicants must pass a drug screen; reporting to an Executive Director, this on-site position involves light maintenance and adherence to safety standards. Only local candidates will be considered.

Qualifications

• Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to keep at least two buildings clean and in an orderly manner.
• Lifting and bending may be involved on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities

• Keep assigned area dusted, vacuumed, and trash emptied, including windowsill and blinds. Do not bother anything or clean employee desktops. Do not clean or bother any computers.
• Wash windows inside on a periodic schedule. Outside windows will be professionally cleaned.
• Ensures that janitorial/housekeeping supplies are replenished.
• Clean and sanitize all bathrooms daily. Keep paper towels and toilet tissue stocked.
• Mop and sweep tile floors daily.
• Clean air vents on an as needed basis.
• Vacuum all carpeted areas and treat any spots on the carpet.
• Keep the parking lots clear of paper and debris.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and move freely without restriction.
• Report any problem that should require knowledge of specific training to repair or correct to Immediate Supervisor.
• Assist with/complete any other job duties that might be assigned.
