At a Glance:

• Position: Janitor, 2nd Shift
• Pay: $26.17 - $30.51 (range reflects base pay. There is a shift differential of an additional $1.00/hour worked for 2nd shift).
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Janitor to join our 2nd shift team. You will perform janitorial duties to maintain all Saint Paul buildings. This role requires expertise in time management, and both general and industrial janitorial work.
You will work collaboratively with the Maintenance Team and report directly to the Maintenance Facilitator.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Maintain/Improve the cleanliness of the facility
• Clean and disinfect manufacturing offices daily
• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors
• Clean windows and doors
• Clean, sanitize and disinfect tables, sinks, floors in lunchroom
• Clean, sanitize and disinfect restrooms and locker room
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility and dispose of in proper bins
• Scrub manufacturing plant floors using battery operated floor scrubber daily
• Organize janitor closet, keep track of inventory and stock cleaning supplies for production floor and offices
• Clean entryways of snow/ice/debris/trash
• Maintain and clean grounds
• Use common cleaning tools to maintain cleanliness of grounds
• Knowledge of the various cleaning chemicals and when and how to use them in a safe manner
• Continuously make improvements to increase the cleanliness of the facility
• Full time hours, timely and excellent attendance required
• Perform other work duties as assigned

What You Will Bring:

• Previous janitorial experience
• Knowledge of safety guidelines in working with cleaning chemicals
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to self-direct and with a sense of purpose and urgency
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Physical Requirements:

• Physical abilities to stand/walk frequently, push/pull, reach, lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work with various cleaning chemicals and oils
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands to complete day to day tasks
• Visual ability to inspect and verify quality (close vision, depth perception, color vision, etc.)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical demonstrating essential job functions
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
