Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services is seeking a Janitor in Mesa, AZ to perform general upkeep and cleaning of interior buildings, offices and restrooms. The role involves routine duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing and reporting repairs or hazards as per contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply/divide with 10s and 100s.
• Ability to perform arithmetic using units of U.S. money, weight, volume and distance.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace trash liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas.
• Dust, spot walls, clean glass, polish and sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned area.
• Note and report areas in need of repair or hazardous conditions.
• Adhere to safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Report damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Janitor role in the company is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance cleaning of interior buildings/facilities/lobby’s office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work area
• Note and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Report all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
