Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services is seeking a reliable Janitor to perform general upkeep and cleaning of interior buildings, lobbies, offices, and restrooms in accordance with contract requirements. The role involves trash removal, floor care, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and reporting repairs or hazards to supervision.

This position requires basic math skills and the ability to handle standard cleaning tasks while following safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply/divide with 10s and 100s.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip/wax floors, and sweep all floor areas.
• Dust, wipe and sanitize all areas; clean glass surfaces.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, rinse, and disinfect assigned areas.
• Note and report areas in need of repair or hazardous conditions.
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies.
• Report damage to customer property or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

Position Purpose

The Janitor role in the company is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance cleaning of interior buildings/facilities/lobby’s office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work area
• Note and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Report all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.
