Koniag Operations Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Janitor to support KOS and our government customer in Denver Federal Center Lakewood, CO. This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust. It is a union position with a current pay rate of $20.25 per hour. All benefits are provided through the CBA.

Job Duties

Our custodial staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in an office building. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning entrances, lobbies, corridors, offices, conference rooms, work areas, floors, restrooms, locker rooms, shower stalls, water fountains, utility sinks, etc.
• Maintaining exterior grounds, parking lots, loading docks, and sidewalks
• Emptying wastebaskets and trash receptacles
• Dusting high and low surfaces, including overhead lights and pictures, and using cleaning products to clean or polish surfaces
• Vacuuming carpets and performing light spot removal
• Washing windows and glass surfaces
• Performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, and wall washing

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• High school diploma or GED
• 0-2 years of experience preferred
• Ability to work well with a cooperative and motivated cleaning team
• Follow detailed cleaning instructions and troubleshoot as needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet departmental goals, including multitasking
• Availability for occasional weekend work
• Full-time night shifts available
• Part-time night shifts available
• Dependable, hardworking, conscientious, and cooperative
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
