Job summary

Fortis Native Group is seeking a Custodian to support a government contract in Del Rio, Texas. This is an onsite role reporting to the Project Manager, with duties covering cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining facilities used by federal personnel.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of custodial experience, strong communication, and the ability to pass agency background checks and a drug screen while complying with US work authorization requirements.

Qualifications

• The Custodian’s job is physically demanding due to the need to move, carry and store various items and clean, dust, and wipe rooms full of furniture as well as floors and carpets.

Job description

Fortis Native Group is seeking Custodians . This position is fully onsite and supporting the Del Rio Customs Border Patrol. They will report to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Custodial duties for Government contracts.


• May include a combination of the following: sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing chips, trash, and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.


• Disinfecting of high touch areas (doorknobs, light switch covers, desktops, etc.).

Wage

Wage $15.40/hr plus $5.42 per hour Health and Welfare up to 40 hours per week (These monies are used for your benefits), which can be taken as additional hourly pay resulting in an effective wage of $20.82hr.
