Job summary

Fortis Native Group is seeking a full-time Custodian to support the Del Rio Customs Border Patrol. This on-site role reports to the Project Manager and performs custodial duties on government contracts.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and polishing floors, cleaning lavatories and common areas, removing trash, dusting, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces. The position is physically demanding and requires the ability to move and lift items.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Must pass agency and federal background checks, drug screen, and confirmation that you are authorized to work in the US.
• The Custodian's job is physically demanding due to the need to move, carry and store items and clean, dust, and wipe rooms full of furniture as well as floors and carpets.
• 1-2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Custodial duties for Government contracts.
• Sweep, mop or scrub, and polish floors; remove chips, trash, and other refuse; dust equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polish metal fixtures or trimmings; and clean lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
• Disinfect high touch areas (doorknobs, light switch covers, desktops, etc.).
