Job summary

McCoy Global is seeking a Janitor in Broussard, LA to perform general maintenance and cleaning across production and office areas. The role includes flooring, surfaces and waste duties, with a focus on keeping the facility in a clean, safe state.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail and the ability to work well with a team while following safety policies. Forklift certification is a plus and a High School diploma is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Desire to foster a safety conscious environment and ability to read and adhere to all safety policies.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing general maintenance and upkeep of the production and office facilities.
• Cleaning the interior of buildings including floors, windows, and walls.
• Maintain a cleaning supply inventory and place orders for new products.
• Monthly maintenance inspections and cleaning on machines, tools and equipment.
• Maintain equipment and work area on a daily basis in a clean and orderly condition, report defective equipment, materials and/or faulty operations to supervisor.
• Clean and maintain washrooms.

As a Janitor you will perform a variety of general maintenance and cleaning tasks within the production plant area. Responsibilities will entail performing general duties throughout the facility as needed such as mopping, cleaning surfaces, emptying trash cans, keep the workplace clean.

What you’ll bring:

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Technically orientated
• Forklift Operator certification an asset
• Desire to foster a safety conscious environment and ability to read and adhere to all safety policies
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to work with others and contribute to a positive team working environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• High School Level math and comprehension skills
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

What you’ll do:
