Job summary

McCoy Global is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test embedded systems powering industrial sensor and control products. You will contribute across the full product lifecycle, building reliable hardware and firmware for challenging environments.

You’ll program microcontrollers, design circuits, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver field-ready solutions, focusing on low-power design and robust testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience programming microcontrollers and microprocessors across common architectures.
• Solid programming skills in C and C++ for embedded applications.
• Working knowledge of common hardware interfaces and peripherals (timers, analog I/O, serial communication buses).
• Practical experience with firmware update and bootloader implementation for devices deployed in the field.
• Working knowledge of electronic circuit design, including power and signal basics.
• Applies low-power design considerations to battery operated devices.
• Uses standard lab and debugging equipment to independently troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Demonstrated experience with wireless or wired communication technologies.
• Applies product testing and compliance requirements to designs.
• Works with cross functional teams and contributes to project planning and code reviews.

What We Need:

Are you passionate about creating innovative technology that performs in some of the world's toughest operating environments? We are seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to help design, develop, and test embedded systems that power our industrial sensor and control products.

In this role, you'll work across the entire product development lifecycle, contributing from concept and prototyping through validation, testing, and production release. You'll apply your expertise in embedded hardware and firmware development to build reliable, high-performing solutions that enable our customers to operate safely and efficiently.

As part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll develop software for microcontrollers and microprocessors, contribute to electronic circuit design, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and help bring new products to market.
