Trinity Services Group is hiring a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals inside the Wilkes County Jail. You will work under a Food Service Director, with food preparation and safety responsibilities in a correctional environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and a strong commitment to food safety and quality, with benefits including DailyPay and a path for growth. High school diploma or GED and 21+ are required; prior institutional food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older preferred.
• Experience in institutional food service or restaurants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• Maintain a neat, food-safe workstation; clean and manage trash, sweep, and mop as needed.
• Serve food according to planned meal schedules and department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Follow all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, staying organized and clean.
• Stand for long periods and handle physical demands of the shift.
