• Performs basic emergency medical techniques under supervision of nursing or physician staff.
• Provides medical first response to emergencies in the jail.
• Accesses and administers medications within scope of practice and state law.
• Obtains and records vital signs, medical history, allergies, and medications.
• Maintains medical records and ensures documentation is complete and accurate.
• Communicates patient status to on-coming staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs phlebotomy and other delegated procedures under supervision.
