Wellpath in the United States is seeking an EMT/Paramedic-certified professional to provide essential medical care to inmate patients. The role covers initial intake exams, emergency responses, and ongoing care within correctional facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with EMT/Paramedic training, current licensure in the US, and preferred experience in a jail setting. Expect routine duties, strict confidentiality, and potential overtime as needed.

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or GED and completion of an EMT or Paramedic course.
• Experience in a correctional or jail setting preferred.
• Current unrestricted EMT/Paramedic license in the US.

Responsabilidades

• Provide emergency medical response and basic life support to inmate patients in the correctional facility, utilizing CPR and necessary equipment.
• Assess and document medical history and treatment, administering prescribed treatments as needed.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and sterilized, assist physicians during procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; be aware of emergency procedures.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers, jail administration, patients; willing to work overtime if necessary.
