Job summary

CDM INNOVATIONS seeks specialists for J33 Battlewatch Support Team at HQ SOCCENT, MacDill AFB, Tampa, to provide around-the-clock crisis notifications, reporting, and force laydown tracking. You will generate routine SITREPs and coordination briefs across SOCCENT and CENTCOM, ensuring accurate personnel status and timely escalation of incidents.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research or Systems Analysis.
• Joint Professional Military Education Level I or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of strategic and operational planning and analysis experience.
• Equivalent combinations of at least 5 years of SOF operational experience and education may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7/365 support as the Command’s central notification and data-source center for crises and other significant, non-routine events.
• Maintain the Battlewatch function with 100% coverage and compliance.
• Prepare routine daily reports documenting current SOCCENT operations, personnel status, and SOF laydown.
• Create, update, and disseminate SITREPs, DEPREPs, consolidated PERSTAT, J3 force laydown briefs, OPSUMs, CCIR notifications, daily operations primers, and key leader location products.
• Maintain accurate records of personnel traveling within the AOR on NIPR and SIPR databases.
• Document initial 5Ws reports for CCIRs, serious incidents, and disasters and coordinate reporting to SOCCENT, CENTCOM, and SOCOM leadership.
• Execute leadership notifications across personal emergencies, security matters, disasters, and contingencies.
• Support SOCCENT Continuation of Operations training and real-world contingency missions.
• Report location, status, and wellbeing during emergency situations that may involve displacement.

Education

BA/BS in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research or Systems Analysis

SOF/DoD education equivalent or SOF Journeyman requirements

The position supports the Command’s continuous notification, operational reporting, personnel and force laydown tracking, and crisis-response coordination mission.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience

• At least a BA/BS in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or Systems Analysis
• Joint Professional Military Education Level I or Service equivalent, such as Command and General Staff College or Air Command and Staff College
• At least 3 years of strategic and operational planning and analysis experience
• At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following: CENTCOM AOR; MISO; MILDEC; CWMD; ORSA; CYBER; AT/FP; SNA; Special Programs; or Interagency experience
• Equivalent combinations of at least 5 years of SOF operational experience and education may qualify

Citizenship

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance at the start of performance

Education

• BA/BS in an eligible discipline or an equivalent combination of SOF operational experience and education consistent with the SOAPS Journeyman requirements

Experience

• Demonstrated ability to prepare professional briefs, information papers, presentations, and planning products
• Experience operating in joint, SOF, DoD, interagency, or equivalent mission environments relevant to the position
• Ability to maintain electronic continuity resources and coordinate with multiple mission stakeholders

Work Arrangement: On-site

Travel / Schedule: Shift work is required. Coverage includes 1500 to 0600 Monday through Friday, 24-hour coverage on weekends and local/federal holidays, and occasional 0600 to 1700 support for operational taskings or JOC integration.
