Job summary

IV Nutrition in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Part-time IV Technician to start IVs, administer vitamins and fluids, and monitor patient responses to therapy. The role requires RN licensure with strong venous access skills and EMR/MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities include injection administration, infection prevention, vital sign assessment, documentation, and collaboration with the care team on treatment plans. Weekend shifts may be required, with physical ability to lift and move as needed.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as an RN (Registered Nurse).
• Knowledge of EMR, MS Office, anatomy and medical terminology.
• 2 years minimum vascular access or infusion experience.
• Strong venous access skills including accessing peripheral veins.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Start and administer IVs and run fluid therapy.
• Administer IM/SQ injections as indicated.
• Monitor the client’s response to treatment.
• Manage and prevent infections.
• Assess health including vital signs and overall status.
• Identify contraindications to intravenous therapy.
• Take vitals as needed.
• Document interactions and communications regarding therapy.
