Job summary

The role requires strong venous access skills, precise catheter placement, infection prevention, and compassionate patient communication while performing routine IV therapies and injections. Weekend shifts are required with a focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as an RN (Registered Nurse).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, EMR systems, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical practice functions.
• Minimum 2 years of vascular access or infusion experience.
• Excellent IV catheter placement skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication; customer service and confidentiality.
• Ability to multitask, manage time, and work independently with reliability.

Responsibilities

• Start and administer IVs and run fluid therapy.
• Administer IM/SQ injections as indicated.
• Monitor the client’s response to treatment.
• Prevent and manage infections.
• Assess client health including vital signs, physical and mental status.
• Identify contraindications to IV therapy.
• Take client vitals as needed.
• Document interactions and communications with clients regarding therapy services.
• All other duties as assigned.
