Job summary

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a dedicated IV Team/Rapid Response Nurse. You will provide expert vascular access services and rapid response support across the hospital, ensuring timely interventions and high-quality patient care.

The role requires 3–5 years in critical care nursing, NY RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, with opportunities to lead staff education and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN with BSN preferred and NY license.
• 3–5 years of critical care nursing experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced vascular access procedures including peripheral IV insertion and midline catheter placement.
• Troubleshoot vascular access complications such as occlusions or infections.
• Respond to rapid response calls and provide advanced clinical assessment and intervention.
• Educate nursing staff on IV techniques and maintenance.
• Document rapid response activities accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize patients and prevent escalation.
