Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking an IV Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding of IV medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will follow SOPs and USP797 while entering orders, maintaining inventory, and printing labels for prescriptions, all in a compliant LCT setting.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, cleanroom standards, and collaboration with pharmacists and leads to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Ohio licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Working knowledge of USP797 guidelines for training, compounding, and cleanroom monitoring.
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and USP797 to prepare IV medications.
• Enter medication orders into the pharmacy operating system.
• Maintain cleanroom per USP797 and SOPs; document temps and cleaning logs.
• Manage drug inventory and initiate requisitions with pharmacist guidance.
• Verify prescription details for accuracy and print labels per policy.
