Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services of Pennsylvania LLC is seeking an IV Pharmacy Technician to work under a Registered Pharmacist, performing sterile compounding, prescription filling, data entry, and adherence to regulatory requirements. The role requires a state-licensed pharmacy technician and at least one year of IV experience, preferably in long-term care settings.

The candidate will maintain the sterile room, prepare IV medications, input data accurately, and support the IV team with facility

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year working as an IV pharmacy technician (long-term care preferred).
• Knowledge of medications, IVs, and filling prescriptions.
• Order entry and insurance billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain Sterile Compounding room and QA as per USP 797 guidelines.
• Fill prescriptions and prepare Sterile Compounding.
• Data entry and phone/stock duties in the IV department.
• Comply with HIPAA and state Board regulations.
• Assist Pharmacist with calling care facilities and ensuring safety procedures.
