Job summary

SpecialtyRx is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our long-term care team. You will evaluate orders, ensure accurate dispensing, and communicate with nursing staff and physicians to resolve medication questions.

We offer competitive hourly pay, health/dental/vision insurance, life and disability coverage, PTO, a 401(k) match, paid training, and advancement opportunities. Hours are 8:00–16:30, Mon-Fri with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions.
• Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of medicines.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and care teams about medication queries.

About the Job

Specialty Rx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. Specialty Rx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.

Licensed Pharmacist Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related queries.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.

License Pharmacist Requirements:

• Active Pharmacist with OH Board of Pharmacy a must.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.

Full Time-Hours: 8am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and every other weekend
