Job summary

CVS Health Omnicare in Minnesota seeks a pharmacist to support infusion therapy and long-term care services. You will ensure regulatory compliance, assess patient needs, and oversee IV therapy operations in a busy clinical setting.

The role involves staff training, documentation, and collaboration with facilities, with a Monday–Friday schedule (10am–6pm) and weekend rotation every third. On-call is not required.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy required.
• Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing.
• 3 years infusion therapy experience which MUST include clinical management of patients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations, and sterile compounding guidelines.
• Maintain all required IV documentation and clinical monitoring.
• Assess new patients and orders for appropriateness of therapy, high risk medications, allergies or interactions.
• Program infusion pumps and monitor infusion therapy.
• Orient and provide competency assessment for staff rotating to IV pharmacy.
• Maintain knowledge of infusion devices, products, and supplies.
