Job summary

InfuCare Rx is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician/Compounding Technician in Aston to support all phases of compounding and dispensing under a licensed pharmacist. You will assist with sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, QA, and patient-centered service in home infusion care.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, PA-registered, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacy technician in a compounding pharmacy.
IV tech certification is preferred.
Excellent communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking.
Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies using appropriate techniques.
Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dose of medication.
Demonstrate safety, sterile product processing and infection control in daily activities.
Dispense products and record in pharmacy management software to generate delivery documents.
Ensure a licensed pharmacist checks all outgoing prescriptions prior to delivery and participate in patient outreach.
Assist with the selection, packing and delivery of specialty infusion products and services.
Contact patients and caregivers to determine health, supplies or delivery matters.
Verify accuracy of product orders and assist with inventory and pricing checks.
