Job summary

InfuCare Rx in Aston area is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician/Compounding Technician to support compounding and dispensing under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role covers sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, quality assurance, and patient-centered service for home infusion care.

Qualifications

• Must be registered Pharmacy Technician with the PA Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a compounding pharmacy.
• IV tech certification is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to compound, prepare and dispense medications and maintain records.
• Understand how to calculate and check doses of medication.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications using proper techniques.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct doses.
• Maintain safety, sterile product processing and infection control per policies.
• Record in pharmacy management software to generate delivery documents.
• Ensure pharmacist checks all prescriptions prior to delivery and participate in patient outreach.
• Assist with packaging and delivery of specialty infusion products and services.
• Contact patients and caregivers about health, supplies or delivery matters.
• Maintain pharmacy logs and surfaces per regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to safety and quality assurance practices and comply with laws.
• Coordinate with suppliers for correct drug products and pricing.
