Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Manhasset, NY, is seeking a CT Technologist - IV Certified, FGP for Outpatient Radiology. The role performs radiographic and CT procedures, administers contrast, and positions patients to obtain diagnostic images.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree or accredited Technical Program Radiologic Technologist, NYS IV license within 180 days, ARRT CT and Radiography certifications within specified times, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate Degree or completion of an accredited Technical Program Radiologic Technologist; Temporary Permit required at hire.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist IV License within 180 days of permit issuance.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (X-Ray) within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) within 1 year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow radiologic practices to determine imaging protocols.
• Adhere to instruction on radiologic requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with protocols and standards.
• Independently perform patient examinations per departmental policies.
• Collaborate with other technologists on imaging approaches.
• Perform CT and radiographic procedures per orders and protocols.
