Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an ITS Technician to monitor and support the Intelligent Transportation System across the district. This full-time role includes telework potential, a standard 7:00 AM–3:00 PM schedule, and responsibilities spanning device monitoring, reporting, data collection, site investigations, inspections, and network updates.

Required is an associate degree in engineering technology or closely related field, with eligibility for residency and a valid Class C

Qualifications

• An associate degree in surveying, drafting, designing, civil, or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Responsibilities

• Device Monitoring: Verify daily online status of ITS devices and document issue resolution
• Report Support: Assist supervisor in preparing performance reports for ITS devices
• Data Collection: Obtain crowd-sourced information on speed and travel time, as well as provide reports
• Site Investigation: Conduct initial reviews of proposed ITS device locations
• Inspection Assistance: Support ITS inspections for construction and maintenance to ensure compliance
• Network Updates: Maintain and update diagrams and databases related to District fiber systems
