Job summary

Eland Engineering, a GAI Consultants company, is seeking 2 full-time ITS Technicians to support central Florida projects from Sanford in Seminole County. The role will involve on-site and in-house servicing, repair, and installation of ITS and traffic product systems, electrical work, and fiber optic installations.

Candidates should have 2–10 years of fiber optic installation experience and hands-on work with ITS field devices such as DMS, CCTV, MVDS, RSU, and traffic signal controllers.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; 2–10 years experience with fiber optic cable installation and splicing.
• Experience maintaining ITS field devices such as DMS, CCTV, MVDS, RSU, traffic signal controllers and power systems.
• Electronics repair and maintenance experience required.
• Basic computer and networking skills are required.
• Background checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Installs equipment including cameras, detectors, and controller cabinets.
• Installs electrical, data, and fiber optic cables.
• Installs pull boxes, conduits, poles, and foundations.
• Connects conductors to equipment and power services to energize equipment.
• Tests devices to ensure proper operation.
• Maintains logs of field conditions and installation activities.
• On-site and in-house servicing, repair, and installation of ITS products.
• Complies with standards and project documentation.
