Job summary

Eland Engineering, a GAI Consultants company, is seeking 2 full-time ITS Technicians to perform on-site servicing, repair, and installation of ITS/Traffic product(s) in central Florida, based in Seminole County (Sanford). You will install cameras, detectors, and controller cabinets, and run electrical, data, and fiber optic cables while documenting work and maintaining compliance standards.

Hands-on fiber optic and ITS field device experience (DMS, CCTV, MVDS, RSU, controllers) is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2–10 years experience with fiber optic cable installation and splicing.
• 2–10 years experience maintaining ITS field devices (DMS, CCTV, MVDS, RSU, Traffic Signal Controllers, power systems).
• 2–10 years experience in electronics repair and maintenance.
• 2–10 years basic computer and networking skills.
• Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing and Troubleshooting preferred.
• IMSA Certified preferred.
• MOT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs equipment including cameras, detectors, and controller cabinets.
• Installs electrical conductor, data conductor, and fiber optic cable.
• Installs pull boxes, conduits, poles, and foundations.
• Connects conductors to equipment to make equipment work correctly.
• Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
• Tests devices to ensure they work correctly.
• Prepares logs to keep track of field conditions and installation activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
