Job summary

E-Z Bel Construction, LLC is hiring an ITS Field Installer in Austin, TX to install and commission traffic control devices, signals, and related hardware. You will read plans and diagrams, pull cables, set poles, and wire cabinets to exact specs, ensuring proper test results and safe operation in dynamic field conditions.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years in similar roles, familiarity with MUTCD/OSHA/TxDOT standards, and experience with bucket trucks and testing gear.

Qualifications

1–5 years in signal installation, electrical, or related construction trades.
Confident reading construction drawings, electrical schematics, and riser diagrams.
Knowledge of MUTCD, OSHA, and TxDOT standards is a plus.
Experience with bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and basic rigging.
Comfortable with hand/power tools and electrical testing gear.

Responsibilities

Install and commission signal heads, pedestrian interfaces, and detection hardware to spec.
Pull, route, and splice cables in conduit (overhead and underground).
Set poles, mast arms, and brackets with correct fasteners and torque values.
Deploy, configure, and verify detection systems, controllers, cabinets, and backups.
Validate performance with voltage, continuity, and signal tests using multimeters.
Follow safety standards for aerial operations and electrical work; maintain neat wiring.
