Job summary

The Central Bucks School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Learning Support) for Doyle Elementary School as a long term per diem substitute. The successful candidate will design and deliver instruction to students with special needs and align with Pennsylvania Academic Standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-8 certification; elementary certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-8 certification (content area certificate required for issuance).
• Elementary certification preferred.
• PA Special Education PK-12 (certificate discontinued 8/31/2013); content area certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, direct and deliver instruction to students in special needs classes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Pennsylvania Academic Standards and pedagogy.
• Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP.
