Job summary

Cherokee County Board of Education is seeking an ITINERANT Registered Behavior Technician to support students with behavioral needs in a school setting. Under supervision by BCBA and principal, you will collect data, implement plans, and assist with data review and materials.

Responsibilities include 1:1 or small group support, collaboration with teachers, and adherence to safety and confidentiality policies. Nine-month contract; salary per district schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of higher education or WorkKeys passage completed.
• 40 hours of RBT training completed as assigned.
• Complete the RBT competency assessment and pass the RBT exam.
• Experience with children/adolescents with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Collect daily behavior data under BCBA supervision.
• Provide 1:1 or group direct student care.
• Implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity.

Job Title: ITINERANT REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

Supervised by/Reports to: Director of Special Education and/or District Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Principal

Setting: Public School/School Based

Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience providing ABA servicesJob Goals:

Collect and document behavioral data, including ABC data, baseline data, and ongoing measurements, under the direction of the supervising BCBA. Ensure data are accurate and timely, communicate relevant behavioral observations, and assist with organizing and reviewing data for FBAs and behavior support.

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and treatment procedures developed by the supervising BCBA, including reinforcement, prompting, antecedent strategies, replacement behaviors, and skill generalization. Follow approvedcrisisandsafetyprocedureswhilemaintainingprofessionalboundaries and working within the RBT scope ofpractice

Qualifications

• Obtain 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training asassigned

Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• UnderthedirectionandsupervisionofthedistrictBoardCertifiedBehavior Analyst (BCBA), implement and perform tasks related tobehavior.
• Collect daily behavior data as assigned by the BCBA or classroomteacher
• Provide direct student care in a 1:1 or groupsetting

• Performs otherjob-related dutiesandresponsibilitiesasassigned bythe Supervisor(s).

Physical Demands:

The employee will be required to complete Managing Crisis Safely (MCS) training as well as other crisis management training as assigned by the district. The RBT may be required to provide physical support, including the use of approved physical intervention or restraint procedures, when necessary and in accordance with the student's individualized plan, district policies, and required training.

The employee must be able to regularly sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects, equipment, and controls. The position frequently requires talking and hearing and may occasionally require reaching, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, and kneeling. The employee must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific visual abilities required include near and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range: According to Cherokee County Schools Salary Schedule. Actual salary will be determined by degree and verified experience.
