Job summary

Claiborne County Schools seeks an itinerant Pre-K Special Education Teacher to develop IEPs, monitor progress and provide specialized instruction across diverse settings in Tennessee. You will work closely with speech, occupational and physical therapists, families, and paraprofessionals to implement effective services for preschoolers with disabilities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in special education, Tennessee licensure, and endorcements covering Pre-K through K.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
• Licensure: Tennessee Educator License required.
• Endorsements: integrated early childhood or general/special education endorsements.
• Exams: Praxis or equivalent for early childhood/special education.
• Experience: familiarity with IEP processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as case manager for Pre-K students with IEPs.
• Deliver specialized instruction following state-approved frameworks.
• Design inclusive programs in Least Restrictive Environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists and families.
• Maintain compliant documentation via EasyIEP and TN Pulse.
