Job summary

A recruitment firm is seeking an Asset Manager to manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets. You will oversee IT asset management processes and ensure compliance with vendor contracts and licenses. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in the ITAM field, along with strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks. This is a contract position with responsibilities that include developing policies and maintaining records.

• Responsible for the supply chain and execution of end-to-end asset lifecycle management.
• Oversee and collaboratively work with ITAM team of SAM and HAM coordinators to plan, monitor, record, and track assets in enterprise organization to ensure compliance with vendor contracts, licenses, entitlements and proper accounting policies.
• Responsible for administrative duties within the IT procurement and inventory management function.
• Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software.
• Serves as a point of contact for all internal and external ITAM execution and process.
• Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking.
• Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime.
• Requires a bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in the ITAM field.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the ITAM field.
• Familiar with ITIL ITAM strategy, instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Reports to Service Management Office.
• Generate reports based on ITAM KPIs on a daily basis – total cost of ownership and other reports.

Documentation

• Identify gaps and assist in development and maintenance of ITAM, associate and IT documentation
• Modify and create knowledgebase entries.

Security Awareness

• Understanding of security impacts within the asset lifecycle and ensures adherence to company guidelines.

General Job Functions

• Assist in development of departmental policies and procedures.
• Define and assist in deployment of process improvements.
• Assist in continuous development of ITAM procedures.
• Interacts with vendors, purchases or returns items and coordinates warranty issues in order to procure requested items and resolve asset management discrepancies.
• Identifies deficiencies; communicates and coordinates improvement efforts to increase ITAM efficiency.
• Develops and continually updates training material for new and existing ITAM staff.
• Maintains high level of ITAM and ITSM expertise.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years working experience in the ITAM field.
• Solid Understanding of ITIL and ITAM frameworks.
• Experience and advanced knowledge with procurement, employee and asset lifecycle.
• Knowledge of ITSM tools (BMC, Cherwell, LANDesk).
• Experience with enterprise Systems Management tools such as BMC Client Management. LANDesk or Microsoft SCCM.
• Technical Certifications; A+, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, HDI, ITIL is a plus.
• Current administration experience in ITAM for 1000+ user base.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent client service skills in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, HP/Dell hardware and desktop & Enterprise based software.
• Experience working with company applications, development policies, and procedures.
• Experience working with company software and hardware products and related business issues that may impact overall business plans.
