Job summary

Eataly North America seeks a Chef Instructor (Contractor) to oversee La Scuola programming, teaching classes and private events. You will plan menus with the Education & Events team, coordinate with front-of-house, and manage kitchen staff for events.

The role requires strong cooking background, event planning skills, and the ability to lead demonstrations and large group sessions onsite at Eataly. Italian language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cooking experience with 1+ year of management experience.
• Strong knowledge of cooking procedures, safety and sanitation.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort speaking to large groups.
• Italian language skills highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches a wide variety of demonstration and hands-on classes for private and public groups.
• Plans events and creates menus with the Education & Events team and clients.
• Supervises prep cooks and line cooks during events.
• Manages kitchen mise-en-place and ensures health and quality standards.
