Job summary

Eataly North America invites an experienced Chef Instructor to lead on-site cooking classes and culinary events in our La Scuola program. You will teach, plan and execute menus for private and public groups, coordinating with the Education & Events team and Executive Chef.

The role involves overseeing event kitchens, training prep cooks and line cooks, and ensuring health and quality standards while engaging guests with Italian cuisine and culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience.
• Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and enjoying speaking in front of large groups.
• In-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine and culture; Italian language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches a wide variety of demonstration and hands‑on classes for private and public groups.
• Plans menus for La Scuola and executes a range of savory items (occasional sweets).
• Oversees production for events with back‑of‑house staff and ensures health/quality standards.
• Manages kitchen mise‑en‑place and cleanliness; informs front‑of‑house of changes.
• Purchases or submits requisitions for food items, supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Education & Events team and clients when required.
