Aerotek is seeking an IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Technician to join our warehouse team in Carol Stream, IL. You will inspect, test, and prepare electronic equipment for resale or recycling, ensuring careful handling.

Responsibilities include cleaning devices, performing data wipes, and following exact setup and testing procedures. Candidates should be comfortable with RF scanners and inventory systems and may work two shifts in a secure warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse setting with picking, loading, unloading, and RF scanners.
• Technical aptitude and attention to detail are desirable.
• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Title: IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated ITAD Technicians to join our team, where you will work hands-on with electronic goods. Your primary responsibilities will include the inspection, testing, and preparation of electronic equipment for resale or recycling, ensuring each item is handled with care and precision.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with electronic goods and perform visual inspections of incoming items.

• Clean laptops and other equipment to prepare them for further processing.

• Test products, including cords and plugs, to ensure they are in working order.

• Conduct inspections of cords and plugs, perform data wiping, and diagnose and image devices.

• Sort and inspect boxes of products to maintain organization and efficiency.

• Set up devices according to specific instructions provided.

• Power and test electronic goods following precise instructions.

• View and interpret pick sheets and order sheets for accurate processing.

• Track products and inventory accurately using computer systems.

• Log and track inventory and parts using logs and databases.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a warehouse setting, with skills in picking, loading, unloading, and using RF scanners.

• Proficiency in using inventory management tools such as pallet jacks, iPads, and smartphones.

• Strong knowledge in electronics repair, troubleshooting, and hardware/software diagnosis.

• Experience with laptop repair is highly beneficial.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Technical aptitude and a keen eye for detail are desirable.

Work Environment

You will work in a secure and closed-off section of the warehouse known as ITAD, which resembles a lab-like setting. The roles are available for two shifts: 1st shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. The environment requires adherence to security protocols and focuses on maintaining an organized workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CAROL STREAM, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
