Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an on-site Contract IT Procurement Specialist in Addison, IL. You will manage hardware/software licenses, asset lifecycles, and vendor coordination to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

The role requires strong Excel skills, documentation ability, and experience with ITSM/asset platforms. You will collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to optimize procurement workflows and asset tracking.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT procurement, asset management, inventory control, or technology operations.
• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and asset management platforms.
• Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
• Experience working with vendors, order fulfillment, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill IT procurement requests for hardware, software, licenses, and tech services.
• Coordinate with vendors to source equipment and ensure timely delivery.
• Review procurement requests, approvals, and required information before orders.
• Track lifecycle of IT assets including ordering, deployment, reassignment, and retirement.
• Maintain accurate asset records and inventory data in asset management systems.
• Monitor ticket queues and prioritize procurement requests, hardware replacements, and fulfillment.
• Manage software subscriptions, cloud accounts, and license allocations for compliance.
• Coordinate hardware deliveries with end users and internal teams for onboarding and refreshes.
• Arrange equipment returns, relocations, disposal, and asset recovery with approved vendors.
• Ensure new employees receive tech equipment and access before start dates.
• Generate reports on inventory, procurement activities, asset utilization, and order status.
• Collaborate with IT support, procurement, vendors, and stakeholders for efficient processes.
• Maintain compliance with asset management, procurement, security, and policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement workflows and asset tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill IT procurement requests for hardware, software, licenses, and technology-related services.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source equipment and ensure timely delivery of requested items.

• Review and validate procurement requests, approvals, and required information prior to order processing.

• Track and manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including ordering, deployment, reassignment, and retirement.

• Maintain accurate asset records and inventory data within asset management systems.

• Monitor and manage ticket queues, prioritizing procurement requests, hardware replacements, and fulfillment activities.

• Manage software subscriptions, cloud accounts, and license allocations to ensure compliance and availability.

• Coordinate hardware deliveries with end users and internal teams to support onboarding, replacements, and technology refreshes.

• Arrange equipment returns, relocations, disposal, and asset recovery activities through approved vendors.

• Ensure new employees receive appropriate technology equipment and access prior to their start dates.

• Generate reports related to inventory, procurement activities, asset utilization, and order status.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IT procurement, asset management, inventory control, or technology operations.

• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and asset management platforms.

• Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.

• Experience working with vendors, order fulfillment, and equipment lifecycle management.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Addison, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
