Job summary

Kaztronix is seeking an IT Vendor Contract Development and Compliance Specialist to manage and align IT contracts with performance expectations and CMS MES requirements. The role supports contract tools, procurement documents, and vendor risk management across NC Medicaid initiatives.

The specialist interfaces with DHB leadership and stakeholders, drafting procurement documentation and monitoring vendor performance. Strong negotiation, leadership, and IT procurement expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 Years Ability to provide project management support and manage the day-to-day vendor and contract activities to ensure desired outcomes.
• Previous experience in a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Procurement and/or Vendor Management environment a plus
• Previous experience with process optimization
• Knowledge of Project Management principles and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, function in a fast-paced moving, constantly changing, deadline-driven environment
• Extensive knowledge of Business Analysis (BA) principles and best practices
• Knowledge of IT TPRM principles and best practices
• 3 Years Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and best practices
• 5 Years Skills in persuasion, negotiation, relationship management, and conflict resolution, as well as effective oral and written communication at all levels
• 5 Years Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and/or legal documents.
• 5 Years Proficient use of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe software

Responsibilities

• Consult with DHB leadership, business owners, and other stakeholders to obtain contract services and facilitate evaluations.
• Develop procurement documents and recommend procurement strategies
• Ensure contract objectives align with stakeholders and provide project status updates
• Knowledge of IT procurement best practices, rules & regulations, and policies
• Evaluate bids, coordinate source selection, and recommend awards
• Lead strategic sourcing for high-value, complex requisitions
• Apply sound business judgment in deadline-oriented environments
• Review/ negotiate contracts and amendments in complex areas with minimal supervision
• Ensure compliance with Federal/State policies and procedures
• Evaluate vendor documents for acceptability
• Develop and promote strategic partnerships with stakeholders
• Organize, interpret and monitor contracts to drive standardization
• Identify opportunities to improve contract operations
• Assist in drafting contract documentation for audits and management
• Plan and implement Vendor Performance Management programs
• Deliver VMU training and ensure compliance with laws and company policies
• Prepare for regulatory examinations and drive process improvements
• Understand Business Continuity Planning and Inherent Risk principles
• Knowledge of Enterprise IT Systems and change management best practices
