Job summary

Dell Technologies seeks an AI-Native Engineer Intern to join a 10-week summer program in Round Rock, TX. You will work with engineers, data scientists, and product leaders to build intelligent solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

You will gain hands-on experience in software, AI, data, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms, developing foundational leadership skills for future technology roles at Dell IT.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Machine Learning
  • Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
  • Demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence through coursework, projects, research, hackathons, student organizations, or personal initiatives
  • Familiarity with Generative AI concepts including LLMs, AI assistants, copilots, AI agents, prompt engineering, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance software applications, AI-powered tools, or intelligent workflows used by employees and customers
  • Support the design and implementation of Generative AI, AI assistant, and automation solutions
  • Explore and apply technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Contribute to cloud-native applications and enterprise-scale platforms
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, data scientists, and business stakeholders
  • Participate in testing, debugging, monitoring, and continuous improvement activities
  • Apply responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance principles throughout solution development
  • Learn emerging technologies quickly and apply them to practical business challenges

Dell IT is looking for a new generation of AI-Native Engineers eager to learn, innovate, and make an impact from day one. As a Dell IT Intern,you'llwork alongside experienced engineers, architects, data scientists, and product leaders to help build intelligent solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. We are seeking students who combine strong software engineering fundamentals with a passion for applying Artificial Intelligence to solve real-world problems.

Dell IT Interns join us for a 10-week summer internship where they gain exposure to meaningful projects, modern engineering practices, and emerging AI technologies. Interns contribute to solutions that create measurable value across Dell while building connections with peers, mentors, and technology leaders throughout the organization.

Throughout the internship, participants gain hands‑on experience in software engineering, AI, data, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms while developing the foundational skills needed for future technology leadership opportunities within Dell IT.

Depending on business needs, your day-to-day role may include

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair andequitablecompensation practices. This role pays $24.60-30.75 per hour
